About the Author
Hi, I am Vikram Bhawani Singh, author of Freedom Struggle Made Easy and creator of Learn With Mnemonics.
I am a lifelong learner with a deep interest in History, Philosophy, Politics, Spirituality, Ethics, Sports, Art and Culture, and Geographical Maps.
I hold an MBA in Finance, a Fellowship in Insurance, an MA in History, and I have also cleared the UGC-NET in Management. After working for 14 years in the public sector insurance industry, I chose to move towards writing, education, and independent work, while also managing family responsibilities.
Over the years, I have prepared for and appeared in several competitive examinations, including UPSC Civil Services, NDA, CDS, APFC, RBI Grade B, and CAT. I cleared UPSC Civil Services Prelims four times, and this long exam journey gave me a strong understanding of objective-exam preparation, factual recall, and the real difficulty students face in remembering vast material, especially in subjects like Modern Indian History.
Later, my interest in simplifying difficult topics led me to experiment with educational ideas, including map-based learning, visual explanations, mnemonic videos, stories, and memory tools. I realised that facts become easier to remember when they are connected through patterns, imagination, humour, songs, and visual hooks, rather than studied as dry information.
This idea led to the creation of Freedom Struggle Made Easy, a complete event-based guide to India’s freedom struggle from 1885 to 1948, designed with mnemonics, stories, songs, illustrations, timelines, key exam points, and recall questions.
When I am not researching or writing, I enjoy sports, exploring better ways to learn, and simplifying complex ideas into something easy to understand.
